I'm posting for 60 days straight, leading up to my early December birthday, and I'm making the time to write on behalf of slain UCC Professor and aspiring novelist, Larry Levine. And now we have CSU Long Beach design student Nohemi Gonzalez, gunned down in Paris.
I've been a consistent fan of AMC's The Walking Dead since the beginning. I just sat through another hour of more violence, mayhem, and zombies in their self proclaimed mid-season finale and am not sure if I'll be back in the new year.
The novelty's worn off, the camaraderie of the original group is gone as characters have been killed off or went off on their own. And there always seems to be another group hell bent on more murder & mayhem than against our group, Rick's group.
I empathize with the producers & writers - how do you keep the show fresh, engaging, and original in this apocalyptic world?
More thoughts to corral but for another time ... Until then, keep the noise down, lights low!
