I'm posting for 60 days straight, leading up to my early December birthday, and I'm making the time to write on behalf of slain UCC Professor and aspiring novelist, Larry Levine.
A brief post in appreciation of collaboration and feedback. I've had some unexpected help and guidance these past few days and it's quite glorious to have fresh eyes & perspective on creative choices.
In synchronous parallel I happened to pick up a 2014 Rolling Stone that profiled U2's manic pursuit of creative excellence. The number of producers they work with. The countless variations of lyrics and musical arrangement. The strong will and opinion each band member brings to every song.
Their persistence in collaboration has worked for them over decades, and these past few days have been a reminder for me there's value in going outside the box to get it.
Or a wise, elder, green-skinned one might say, "Collaborate we must! Or ..."
